More Vinyl and PVC fencing products have become available during the last few years. The quality and appearance of these products has made them more and more popular. When compared to wood fences, vinyl fence (and plastic fencing) has many advantages: no painting is necessary, it does not rot even when installed in a constantly moist environment, it is lighter, does not warp, and can last longer than pressure-treated wood.
The disadvantage of vinyl is that it only comes in certain colors and configurations, and depending on your distance from the product and the particular style and manufacturer, it can appear "fake".
